Sheet metal and welding for the medical industry
Builders of medical equipment need dimensionally accurate parts with a smooth, cleanable finish. We make custom stainless steel sheet metal, frames and enclosures, from single part to welded assembly.

For builders of medical and laboratory equipment we make frames, bases, housings, panels and enclosures. This concerns the structure and outer shell of the equipment: we do not make implants or instruments that enter the body.
Equipment in a medical environment is cleaned and disinfected often. That is why we usually work in stainless steel 304 or 316, weld with TIG and finish seams and edges smooth. After welding we passivate, so the protective oxide layer recovers; where an even surface is required, we glass-bead blast.

Laser cutting, bending, welding and finishing take place under one roof in Hengelo. Bending follows ISO 2768, welding falls under ISO 3834-2, and dimensions are checked before a series runs.
We are not certified to ISO 13485 and do not assemble in a cleanroom. We supply the metal parts and assemblies; final assembly and medical registration remain with the manufacturer of the device.

Frequently asked questions
Are you certified to ISO 13485?
No. We are certified to ISO 9001, ISO 3834-2 and EN 1090-1. ISO 13485 applies to the manufacturer of the medical device; we supply the metal parts and assemblies to your drawing and specification.
Which finish do you supply for medical equipment?
Usually stainless steel 304 or 316 with smoothly finished weld seams. After welding we passivate; where an even surface is required, we blast with glass beads of 100 to 200 μm in our blast cabin.
Do you assemble in a cleanroom?
No. We supply the parts and assemblies with the finish you specify. Final assembly takes place at your site or at your assembly partner.
